I nspired by Tammy Wilson, I knew I had to make my version of her card. I grew up in a little pink house with turquoise shutters on Florida's Gulf Coast. I would sit on a seawall and watch the seahorses frolicking about in the water.
Project Recipe
This card is all about simple stamping and stamping off to get a gradation of color.
Stamping off is a technique whereby you stamp an image and then without re-inking the stamp you stamp a second and, perhaps, a third time.
I used these three colors to stamp the seahorses in a random pattern on a piece of 4 x 5 1/4" white cardstock:
--Magenta Madness
--Highland Heather
--Bermuda Bay
Then I used the Subtle embossing folder to add texture.
I layered the stamped piece onto a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and added that to a Magenta Madness card base.
After building the card front, I added several Snowflake Sequins.
I die cut Highland Heather cardstock with the smallest Stitched Rectangle die.
On a 1/4" strip of white cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Highland Heather ink.
After adhering the two pieces together, I added it to the card front with dimensionals.
See below for a list of all the supplies I used.
