T his card was made using some retired and some current Stampin Up! product but I wanted to showcase the template, not the product. You can switch out any of the products for current or retired and get a beautiful handmade card.
Project Recipe
Cut your card base 4-1/4"x11" score at 5-1/2" you will get two from one sheet of 8-1/2"x11" piece of cardstock.
Cut the first layer that you will emboss with your favorite embossing folder at a 1/4" smaller than the base. 4"x5-1/4". Then emboss this layer with your favorite embossing folder.
The next layer is cut at 3-1/2"x4-1/4" This layer can be the same color as your card base or you can change it to your preference. For this card, I choose to use the same color as my base cardstock. This layer will be popped up using Stampin Dimensionals after you adhere to the strips of designer series paper.
Then you will cut 3 pieces of designer series paper 1"x4". You will find it easiest if you start by placing them on the layer that is cut at 3-1/2"x4-1/4" to get an idea of spacing. Then when you have the spacing correct adhere the middle stripe down first. That will help with the spacing on the other two pieces. Once you have them adhered to the card layer be sure to add your ribbon or strip of paper before you add Stampin Dimensionals and pop it up on the card base.
For the sentiment layer, I choose an oval from the layering ovals and popped that up using a Stampin Dimensional.
Be sure to decorate the inside of your card and the envelope to complete the look of your unique one-of-a-kind homemade card. Thanks for stopping by today. Charity
Here are just a few more photos of cards I made using this same layout.
