Y ou can create this vintage snowman card, here's how.
Project Recipe
Here is the card stock you will need to get started
• 8 ½ x 5 ½ Crumb Cake card base scored at 4 ¼
• First layer 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 Cherry Cobler
• Second layer 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 Pretty Peacock
• 1 x 5 ½ strip Crumb Cake for sentiment
• Additional Crumb Cake for the snowman
Run the Pretty Peacock layer through the Stamp N Emboss machine using the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder. The folder is not part of the bundle but is well worth the investment since you can use it for more many different kinds of cards..
Squeeze a small amount of the Whisper White craft ink into the lid and use a small piece of sponge to spread color from bottom to top creating the look of frost on the embossed trees. Set this layer aside to dry.
Stamp the snowman image in Early Espresso ink on the extra piece of Crumb Cake card stock and cut out with the coordinating Snow Time dies.
Use the Dark Pumpkin Pie blends to color the snowman's carrot nose. Then color in the holly berries on his hat with the Dark Cherry Cobbler blends and the holly leaves with the Dark Mossy Meadow blends. Use the Dark Pretty Peacock blends to go over the details in the hat and scarf. Flick the tails of the scarf from top to bottom to give a feathery look. Then fill in the had and scarf with the brush tip of the Light Pretty Peacock blends.
Lightly touch the snowman's eyes, mouth, and coal buttons with the Light Black blends to add just a little more depth.
Stamp the sentiment on the right side of the 1" Crumb Cake strip and you are ready to assemble the card.
Attach the Cherry Cobbler layer with liquid glue, it gives you some wiggle room in getting the layer aligned with the base. Next attach the Pretty Peacock layer also using liquid glue. Use a small amount of liquid glue to adhere the sentiment about 1/4" up from the bottom of the Pretty Peacock layer. Attach the snowman with Stampin dimensionals.
Add 3-5 adhesive backed snowflakes above the embossed trees and you have an adorable vintage snowman card. Add a sentiment to the inside of the card and it is ready to go.
