Project Recipe
Measurements:
Whisper White Cardstock:
~ 4 ¾ x 8” for the bottom of the box, score at 1, 2, 6 & 7 on the long side, score at 1 & 3 ¾” on the short side
~ 3 x 4 ½” for the lid insert (used to die cut a stitched rectangle, used as lining inside top to cover the back of the gold layer, can be personalized using a PC)
Night of Navy Cardstock:
~ 4 ¼ x 5 ½ for the top of the box, score at ¾” on all 4 sides. Tip: score very slightly less, about the width of a piece of cardstock, for a better fitting lid.
Gold Foil Sheet:
~ 2 ½ x 2 ½” for stars and moon, inside the lid of the box
¼” Gold Shimmer Ribbon:
~ about 12”
Fold and burnish on all score lines.
Cut and trim tabs and flaps on box top and bottom as shown.
Assemble the box bottom using multi-purpose liquid glue. Glue each small corner tab inside the inner flaps. Then glue the outer flap over the small tabs. This covers the small tabs neatly and makes the box bottom more sturdy.
Before assembling the box top fold one end flap in and punch the center of the box top using the Twinkle Builder punch. Be careful to get the punch past the flap so as not to punch it.
Glue the small piece of Gold Foil sheet inside the box lid so the stars and moon shine gold through the top. Tip: put a small amount of glue on the Night of Navy cardstock being careful that it doesn’t ooze through the punched shapes on the box top)
Glue each corner tab inside to assemble the box top.
Die cut the insert using the 2 ⅝ x 4” Stitched Rectangle die. Glue it inside the lid to cover the back of the Gold Foil sheet.
Place the tea bags and honey pearl packs inside the box, tie it with Gold Shimmer ribbon. For the finishing touch add a golden spoon.
Finished dimensions: 2 ¾ x 4 x 1
