Project Recipe
Cutting instructions:
Card base - Whisper White card stock
5-1/2" x 8-1/2". Scored at 4-1/4".
Night of Navy cut to 5-1/4" x 4".
Whisper White cut 5" x 3-3/4".
Punch or die cut a 2-1/2" circle.
Punch the dog from black card stock.
Punch the heart from Real Red card stock.
Adhere the circle onto the whisper white
5" x 3-3/4", I used the top of a Post it note folded over on itself to hold it in place. Place the circle centered and towards the top.
A. Use a sponge dauber and with an out ward stroke from the circle to create rays use these colors in order. Use a separate dauber per color so you do not ruin your ink pads.
Pool Party
Coastal Cabana
Highland Heather
B. Using Night of Navy start on the outer edges in a circular motion and go around the entire border.
C.Repeat Step B with Gorgeous Grape.
Take a scrap piece of paper and tear at an angle. This will be used to give your dog a place to sit. Place it at an angle and using the Night of Navy just use a circular motion on the edge to create a horizon effect.
Now you can take your circle off and expose your moon. It will be very bright white with all the rich colors around it. So to tone it down use your Pool Party dauber very lightly inked, almost to the point of no ink. Go around the moon in a circle until you like it.
Remember there's no right or wrong way.
Make sure the ink is good and dry.
Take a very small amount of the shimmer paint and place it on a clear block. Add a drop of water from your Aqua Painter, mix it up so it's fairly watery. Then tap the Aqua painter on your finger to flick the droplets in a splatter fashion on your card.
Once it's how you like it place your dog on dimensionals and adhere him/her to the card. Don't forget the little red heart and stamp your sentiment inside.
