B eautiful Daffodils remind me Spring when everything is renewing itself. Coupled with the Gingham Gala DSP it makes the perfect Easter card.
Project Recipe
Cutting Instructions:
Card base - Whisper White card stock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
Score one side [5-1/2"] at 2-1/8" fold and crease with your bone folder for a crisp edge. Now take the second side and fold it over to meet the other side in the middle. This will insure your two sides will meet in the middle.
Highland Heather - 3-1/2" x 4-3/4"
Whisper White - 3-1/2" x 4-1/2"
Gingham Gala - 2 each 2" x 5-1/4" [color of your choice]
Small scrap of Whisper white for your sentiment
Stamp your Daffodil in Mento Ink [make sure you use a water based ink when using an alcohol based makers] on your Whisper white 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" piece.
Color the flowers with Stampin' Blends, makers or water color pencils of your choosing.
Take 2 Oval layering dies and cut the flowers out to create a mat and a center oval. The ones I used measured close to 3-3/4" for the outer and 3-1/2" for the inner oval.
I stamped the inside of my card with a row of Daffodils.
Stamp your greeting in Highland heather on the small scrap.
Cut your Highland Heather out with the Stitched Rectangle that measures 4-1/2" x 3-1/16"
Assemble Instructions:
Adhere with snail adhesive on each of the folded sides the Gingham Gala DSP.
On the Highland Heather attach the larger Oval frame to it with snail adhesive. Then put dimensional on the back of your center oval and place it in the center of the oval frame.
On the back of the Highland Heather, on 1 side only [I used the left side] place dimensionals. Adhere this to your one side on the Gingham DSP.
Trim your sentiment to fit where you like it best.
Add a few iridescent sequins [or whatever bling you want]
