This card has been created by combining several stamp sets and dies.
Card Cuts:
Card Base - Sweet Sorbet = 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Card Stock - Basic White (3) 4 x 5 1/4; 1 1/2 x 4
Project Recipe
Instructions:
Stamping:
Stamp the following onto one of the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White pieces: (Note you will be cutting these apart so make sure you leave enough room in between)
A. Using the Sweet Songbird Stamp set, stamp both the large and small songbirds from the along with a small wing for each in Sweet Sorbet Ink.
B. Using Black Memento ink stamp two branches
C. Using the Happy Hedgehog stamp set, stamp the large Hedghog and three mushrooms in Black Memento ink.
On one of the other 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White pieces stamp the following:
A. From the Charming Sentiment Stamp set, stamp the inside sentiment in Black Memento ink.
B. From the Happy Hedgehog stamp set, stamp the smaller hedgehog in the lower right hand corner as shown.
On the last 4 x 5 1/4 piece do the following steps:
A. Using Blending Brush and the Tahitian Tide ink blend in from the top down about 3/4 of way.
B. Using another Blending Brush and Granny Apple Green ink. Blend in from the bottom edge up to the Tahitian Tide ink.
C. Using Granny Apple Green ink and the grass stamp from the Happy Hedgehog stamp set, stamp across the bottom edge leaving space in between to come back and add more grass.
D. Using Old Olive Green ink, stamp the grass in the spaces you left between the other grass, along the bottom edge.
E. Next Using Early Espresso Ink stamp a branch from the Sweet Songbird stamp set coming in from the left and right. (See picture for placement)
F. Now using Mossy Meadow ink, stamp the leaves onto the branches. (Note: I stamped off before I stamped onto this sheet.
On a scrap piece of Basic White stamp the sentiment from card front using the Charming Sentiments Stamp set.
Coloring:
Using Stamp N Write Markers color in the following:
Mushrooms:
A. Using Soft Suede color in the buttons and undercarriage of the Mushrooms.
B. Using Crumb Cake color in the stem of the mushroom.
C. Using Parakeet Party color in the grass
D. Using Sweet Sorbet color in the top of the mushroom.
Hedgehog:
A. Using Soft Suede color in the top of the Hedgehogs.
B. Using Crumb Cake color in the body of the Hedgehogs.
Die Cutting/Fussy Cutting:
Cut apart all the images that you stamped onto the first sheet.
A. Then fussy cut out the mushrooms and the small bird.
B. You will only be using the ends of the branches but you need to cut them out right on the lines, then cut out smaller pieces for the birds eyebrows.
C. Using the Happy Hedgehog punch, punch out the large Hedgehog.
D. Using the Songbird Builder punch, punch out the Large Songbird and both wings. Plus punch out two beaks from a scrap of Mango Melody.
E. Using the Give it a Whirl dies shown here cut out two clouds.
F. Using the Give it a Whirl die shown here cut out 4 of the larger circles in Basic White and 4 of the smaller circles in Basic Black.
G. Using the Sentiment Silhouettes dies cut out the sentiment from the scrap basic white piece.
Assemble:
Add eyes, eyebrows and beaks to both birds and color in the bodies with Light Crumb Cake stampin blend.
Adhere the blended and stamped Basic White piece to the card front.
Adhere the mushrooms to the card front as shown.
Adhere the Hedgehog to the card front as shown.
Adhere the clouds to the card front as shown.
Adhere the small bird to the branch coming in from the right (which should be the higher branch)
Using Dimensionals adhere the large bird on the branch coming in from the left as shown.
Using Dimensionals adhere the sentiment just to the right of the hedgehog as shown.
Adhere the other 4 x 5 1/4 with the sentiment and hedgehog in lower right corner to the inside of the card.
